Cerebration of the Rare Disease Day in Croatia and Serbia
The 3rd National Conference on Rare Diseases and 3rd Croatian Symposium on Rare Diseases were held from 27-28 February 2014, in Hotel Dubrovnik in Zagreb, organised by the Croatian Alliance for Rare Diseases of Zagreb (http://www.rijetke-bolesti.hr) and the Croatian Society for Rare Diseases of the Croatian Medical Association (http://www.rijetke-bolesti.org).
Apart from the speakers and participants from Croatia, the event was attended by many scientistsfrom EURORDIS, Orphanet, Rare disease European Commission, Istituto Superiore di Sanità, DEBRA International, Newcastle University, University Children’s Hospital Sofia, University Medical Center Ljubljana, Children University Hospital Cluj-Napoca, University Children’s Hospital Ljubljana and Fabry center Slovenj Gradec.
The members of the InNerMeD project at the School of Medicine of the University of Zagreb, Prof Ivo Baric, Prof Ksenija Fumic and Dr sc Mario Cuk, had lectures within the conference and the InNerMeD project was presented during the poster session.
On the special occasion of the Rare Disease Day, the InNerMeD project was also presented in Serbia, at the Biochemical laboratory of Clinical Center of Belgrade by the collaborative partner Prim dr sc Zorica Sumanac.
